Twat. "It's how it is at Aston Villa, a few bad results and off with his head, it's ridiculous". It's 9 months of shit football you fuckwit. And constantly saying only been 3 games, 1 week. It hasn't Steve.

I'd love one of them to have the balls to say, it's 1 win in 9 and we play hideous football. How do you explain 23 successful passes in half an hour against the might of Reading.

This is what really annoys me. Why can't the media actually ask that question!

He's clearly trying his hardest to reset the clock to anyone that will listen to justify his position in the job...unfortunately 10 months of crap piss poor performances, bad results and questionable transfers haven't all happened in "just a week". No team should be performing as bad as we are on the pitch with no clear direction, style or intent after 10 months.

I'm really not sure what games he's watching if he genuinely thinks that we didn't deserve to lose against Reading and the problem comes down to finishing off chances that we've created...what games has he been watching where all these missed chances were created?! A small part of me feels sorry for him because he clearly hasn't got a clue and is under a lot of pressure...but the man is deluded.

The only small glimmer of hope I can take from that interview is that they have finally recognised that we need more "at the top end of the pitch"...congratulations on finally identifying that we have a problem scoring goals, and hopefully you'll also realise that we don't create enough goal scoring opportunities either so either sign players capable of doing this or change the negative style of play to one that is more attacking.

Good news about Jedinak possibly being back.

Especially as we literally never win without him.

In the last 12 months we've won 0 league games without Jedinak.

And 15 with him. The gulf between those two figures is just bonkers.

Is that young Bury defender we signed, Bedeau, a CB?

Yes

There's Sarkic too who, if my memory serves me correctly, looked decent in the German cup of traditions thing.

Taking my 6 year old to his first ever game for this one. How I wish the season had started 180 degrees polar opposite to how it has, but hey, he's probably too young to tell good football from bad. As long as he doesn't come out liking the yellow ones!

Seems like everyone in the PL has gone 3-4-3.  Could we make that work?

Terry - Jedi - Chester

De laet - Hourihane - Lansbury - Taylor

Elmo - Hogan - O'Hare

Do we have any left footers other than Taylor? I'd personally quite like to see the 2 wide forwards on the "wrong" sides cutting in, but who could that be on the right? The meat and two veg try and get to the byline then fail to beat the first man / slice it behind into row z schtick is getting old.

Had a look on the Facebook page to see if it was there, it isn't. We did post this yesterday though for a bloke who played 23 times for us.

Also, well done to all those who can pronounce his name properly!

At least they've corrected the glaring error.

1-0 win.

Gareth Barry leaves West Brom Unsworth style because of too long a commute to Smethwick due to M5 roadworks and signs for Villa in time to start against Norwich. John Terry battering Barry out the way leaving him unconscious has a header tipped round the post with a blatant handball by a Norwich defender. While Barry is off the pitch for treatment, the penalty is taken, it's saved by the keeper but comes off the post and Barry sprints on the pitch to knock in the rebound Graydon style. 30,000 Villa fans have just one question.

I'll have what Andy is drinking!

It is true that with better - just reasonable - finishing we could easily have many more points. We missed at least 2 sitters against Hull, plus one on ones in the first five minutes of the two next league games. And goals change games of course.

But that doesn't hide the fact that we've played terribly in the last two games.

And it doesn't make me confident that we've just been unlucky and we'll bang in our next one on one or free header. Because of the current squad available, only gabby, hourihane, Adomah and Chester have scored a goal for villa in living memory. And two of them may not even play.

First game for me this season. I've been away so missed the drivel put on show in the first 3 games so this will be an absolute humdinger of a game with a 1-0 win to the Villa!
