I think this game is of must win proportions for Bruce, another loss and I think he'll be gone.

Ofcourse I want us to win as always but there is part of me that thinks a defeat will secure Bruce's much needed departure.  A draw is almost the worst thing that can happen.

1-1.

Please drop Whelan. He's just an older, slower version of Westy
Unfortunately that's actually a fairly accurate description. Absolutely no idea why Bruce signed him.

It is beginning to look more and more like another illogical signing.  He signed him and then decided to play 4-4-2, which it's becoming quite obvious that he has no longer got the legs for.  For what it's worth, I think he would be fine sitting in front of the defence in a 3 man midfield.

Both he and Terry would be better in a 3 5 2. So would Hogan.

I have no faith in manager or squad. Norwich win.

I have gone for a Villa win. I have got no justification as to how I came up with this decision except I am on quite a lot of medication.

This Villa team can't play I'm afraid.

A loss 1-2/3

We'll park the bus going for an away draw, cue rapture and 'this is the kick on we needed'.

So much expectation and pressure a 1-1 draw or 2-1 defeat

in my opinion a must win..strange to say that after 4 games of this season, but we have been appalling since the beginning of the 2nd half vs Hull.

a bloody awful performance and a 2 nil defeat :(

unless he plays 3-5-2 - if available for Sat

Johnstone

Chester, Terry, Samba

Adomah, Lansbury, Whelan, Hourihane, Elmohamady

Hogan, Green

UTV
The Doc

I can't even be arsed with this under Bruce now. Watching Wolves and a manager that's only been there 5 minutes, taking a team that was shite last season and getting them playing some great stuff. Then watching us plod around the pitch chasing shadows. Depressing.

For anyone who had the pleasure of being at Reading on Tuesday, we saw a team with a young / forward thinking manager who had a team set up in which everyone new their role & how the team played. Pass / move, use the free space, no need for a big lump up front if you play the ball on the ground. All Reading did was find the space between our players & passed to each other.

Whilst our side stood still, looked for inspiration & lumped the ball forward in hope. This has been our pattern of play since Bruce arrived, it's all he knows. There's a reason Bruce never got a big job & it's clearly on display every time we take to the field.

I can't see anything but a loss, a win will just delay the inevitable.

0-1

An improved but toothless first half performance. An abysmal second half against a poor Norwich, who score in the 76th minute, triggering Bruce's Bolton moment.
