Just simply not good enough for us to not play for 90 minutes again, not looking forward to Saturday at all now.

Nonsense, we'll batter Cardiff 1-1

It was okay. Just shows we really haven't got much of a squad once the 1st choices are out or indeed with them. A few injuries and we're in deep trouble in the league. End of the day its a win but on a list of priorities this comes way way down the pack. I don't want this cluttering up our fixtures and bringing injuries at the expense of the league so hopefully we can bow out soon to a half decent team and concentrate on the main prize.
I see it as game time for all the fringe players and youngsters. Not worth putting out your so called best eleven.

yep, but we all know what will happen if we progress and draw a big team.  We won't play the reserves and youngsters against them and its an unwanted distraction this season. A cup run is nice but not at the expense of promotion

They're not mutually exclusive. I'd bet that over the years, our Cup runs haven't been detrimental. Wasn't there, but kept us up '57? Inspired promotion '75? Kept us up 2015?
Supporters aren't disappointed by them, and surely all players want to actually try to win things?

Oh, and I appreciate he was out of position, but I am yet to see anything to suggest signing Barnason was a good idea.

I thought he was extremely dodgy tonight but  he looked better in final stages when Bree went to left back and played further forward.

He didn't do a single thing right all night.  Bree played him a cracking ball towards the end of the second half, but he just passed it tamely to a Colchester player.

I don't feel BB should be deployed as a Defender such as this left back role . He escapes critics from me as he was playing there for team and is no defender. I like to see him given a go in middle or further up and looked far more effective when he was pushed further forward. It's not fair for him.
Great to see De Laet back and O'Hare in particular was most impressive though he faded. Really pleased for Steer and was awarded man of match I think ?! Also Hulk scoring was good and hoped heppy murph would have had more game time. Green not one for crossing well and adomah easied back in.
Onomah was far better than cameo other day and would start him on Saturday .
Nice little win and Samba showed why no one has been interested in signing him but great as a back up as were others on show.
Wonder if RDL can be used  as a left back as looks useful or Bree to play there and these to compete with taylor. Hutton seems to own right back though long season .
All in all win and some positive. We can all applaud that deft back heel O'Hare did was magic !
Utv ! Now back to league business!

Disgraceful that it's not on telly, really. And yet they have chosen Barcelona vs Real Madrid on Sunday. Twats.

Steer was better tonight than any match Johnstone has played for us yet.

Still, at least we're helping Bruce's old club out a bit.

Reminds me of Lippi v Scolari matches. Pure indulgence for us punters.

There were positives as mentioned but we won with an offside goal and a man of the match performance from our keeper. Says it all really. I thought Bruce was chucking on too many youngsters in the 2nd half, when we needed to hold steady.

Yes that was my thought also whilst watching. Not sure why we should be developing someone else's player whilst we have an equally good one?

Still, putting aside my usual piss-taking, normally we make about three changes and get knocked out. Today we made nine changes and went through.

It'll do.
