So gabby and hogan. And Bacuna

No green or hourihane

I'm guessing either gabby left and Bacuna behind hogan

Or vice versa (w gabby closer to hogan)

Maybe switch a bit during the game

Trying to focus on the improvements the new players will bring rather than some of the old guard who have been persevered with.

Bacuna right and Gabby left of a forward 3 led by Hogan?

Bacuna ahead of Conor & Barney? First surprise of a very long season.

4-4-2, Bacuna and Gabby in it, perhaps the slowest spine of any current professional team in the explored universe. Counter-attack I guess!

Unless it is 4-3-3 with Bacuna as a wife forward. In which case...how ugh.

4-3-3 Elmo and Hogan either side of Gabby from the looks of it. Would rather have seen Green supporting Hogan, Hourihane instead of Lansbury. But let's see how it goes.

We've played 441 or 4231 in every pre season game so it would be a major surprise if that's not how we line up - although it could easily switch to 442 at times

I have a horrible feeling it's a flat 4-4-2 with Bacuna at that most half-thought of 90s positions 'left-mid', but we'll see.
