Roma are horrible racist wankers. Real Madrid are horrible Fascist wankers.

However, I won't have to watch weeks worth of grinning, glory-hunting twats every time I turn on the telly if they win it, nor will I have to hear about "That Magnificent Night in [insert wherever the final is being played]" for the next thirty years if they prevail.

Anyone but the bloody English clubs in Europe. Fuck Liverpool.

It's a no win as all 3 clubs are wankers. Liverpool winning it would be unbearable though, so i'm going for Real as they've won it so often i'm pretty much indifferent to the thought of another win. Ideally if it's a Real/Liverpool final, Real 3 up at HT, all the talk will be of Istanbul and can they do it again, no Liverpool fans vanish at half time like they did then, just in case. And they get to watch Real smash in another half a dozen.

Roma are horrible racist wankers.

Might want to check your history there. Roma are the traditional leftwing club in Rome while Lazio have fascist connections. The modern development t especially violent ultra groups is very depressing, but it's a very small minority with no link to the club's history or core support. Nor are they especially racist even though every club in Italy has those elements. It's about as true as saying Palermo are all Mafiosi or something.

I'm aware that they used to be considered left of centre. Nowadays they regularly boo black players and act like Fascist arseholes. Far too many are involved for it to be considered a "very small minority". All the Roman clubs are twats.

Don't know how many people you know from Rome etc but those really are just the loud ones. It's always complicated in the curva, but no one is less happy about recent developments than most Romans.

wow, lots of winkers, twits and airing cupboards on this post , I wonder who C18 will be supporting as "we" don't have any elements at Villa that tar our name, I don't consider Villa RACIST  but I dare say we have a broad spectrum of support , so that label could be cast even upon the righteous.

so sayeth saintly Tone.

If the majority disagreed, the majority should shout them down, or refuse to turn up. If you don't stand against it you're complicit.

I don't doubt that we have scumbag elements, but nobody would ever dare assemble at Villa Park and boo black players en masse, as they'd know it would be considered unacceptable. It would be at any British club with the possible exceptions of Chelsea, Leeds, Millwall and "Rangers".

It's a large problem across Italy. You really want to try and drown out these guys? They'll kick off something horrible. Attendances are actually down, as a matter of fact, as many more stay away now because of the violence (again, racism isn't as big a problem at Roma as at Juve, say). It's one of the main reasons for the planned stadium move.

Yes, I'd like to drown out these guys. I wouldn't do it on my own, but you'd think if enough people were opposed to them, they'd be able to organise something. Doesn't have to be a physical conflict, can be just staying away from games en masse.

I'm happy to acknowledge that it's not just Roma, and clubs like Hellas and Nazio are far worse. Doesn't mean I have to like any of them, though.

Obviously, I'll still be happy enough if they somehow dump Liverpool out tonight.

I do understand the antipathy, the situation in Italy right now is pretty ugly. There's also this strange thing where a lot of people there just don't see anti-black racism as much more than unsavoury banter - regional insults still carry the most weight. Still, you always hope the corner will be turned sooner rather than later, though the response to the refugee crisis doesn't look promising at all.

Would love to see Roma win tonight, but can't see it. Used to love the days of Batistuta, Montella, Delvecchio and Nakata.

...oh and of course Gustavo Bartelt

Monty genuine question. How does stadium move affect the racism issue?

I am not sure Roma deserve anything tonight. You can’t go on conceding 4 and 5 and then turning up miracle wins. Tonight they will be out.
