Burton 2 Sunderland 1. Almost feel sorry for them. But not really.

Sunderland are Aston Villa, with added season misery. I really do feel sorry for them.

The last time Sunderland went down to the third tier it was Tony Cascarino's relegation play offs goals for Gillingham against them that sent them down. When we had a relegation six pointer up there in the Dr Jo season their fans gave hom loads of stick. He responded by sticking two goals past them in our 3-1 win.

Sunderland not mathematically down, they can go above Bolton on goal difference I think

Nope. Their down.

We could have done just that but thankfully we got shot of our American idiot. Feel sorry for the fans, they deserve better and as someone said likely to go into administration pretty sharpish.
