So, let me get this straight. At the end of last season, after a disappointing finish, the Villa board decided to stick with our manager. The moment that decision was made there was no point playing the games scheduled for the next campaign because there was no conceivable chance Villa would ever achieve promotion.

I gave up watching the game on SKY but had the score up on the BBC website on the laptop. It said 1-1 and then back to 1-0 again so I thought the equalizer had been disallowed.
