I’m not clinging to anything. In my view Liverpool fans like to play the victim. If their coach had been attacked last night, my guess would be they’d be playing that card again.

I would guess that if the Liverpool coach had been attacked, the incident would be condemned in much the same way as last night's was, with less whataboutery and much less generalisation.

Finland's football league is due to kick-off this weekend with stern advice from the local football authorities for clubs considering postponing matches because of the weather - don't.

According to Veikkausliiga chairman Matti Apunen, clubs that are unable get their pitches playable for published fixtures will need to find another venue "or lose home advantage"

That finish by Ramsey was better than Ronaldo’s

Maybe Arsenal will play their reserve/U21 team in the second leg, get knocked out, fail to make the Champions League, then slowly decline for a number of years before finally being relegated.

If Carlsberg did decades.

If they do is Arsene going to spawn his way to another years employment? I copped a home fourfold on Arsenal, Athletico, Lazio and Leipzig tonight. It only paid out at 5/1 as they were all odds on but 'owt is better than nowt.

The last time a Scouser got so excited over one leg was when Paul McCartney first met Heather Mills.

Ramsey has been excellent for them in European games this season.

I will definitely file that one in the 'wish I had thought of it first' pile.

Worry not. I was sent the same thing by 4 different people, yesterday.

My heart wants Wolves to win by about three goals tonight. Nil points for Cardiff, damage to their goal difference and damage to their confidence. My head says a draw. The fatalistic part of me says a Cardiff win.

Cardiff losing heavily, having a bloke or two sent off for straight "3 match ban" reds and all of their strikers ending the game unfit for the rest of the season.

There's more chance of us seeing a repeat of Colin Wanker's infamous 'get enough players sent off that the game can't be finished' tactic
