SPL is so boring as a competition. Celtic been in second gear all season.

Errr, Man City?

Man. City on another level, it happens (I'm not one of these who thinks prem is best league in the world or whatever).

Issue here is when Celtic drop points (as they've done a fair few times this season) neither Rangers or particularly Aberdeen can ever seem to win on the same weekend so that is certainly bottling it. Aberdeen's recent record v the Old Firm is horrendous.

Didn't even realise when I posted that if Rangers had won yesterday they'd have been just three points off Celtic so they choked at 2-2 and with just 10 men to play.

Celtic have been nowhere near as good as last season and were comfortably dispatched by Zenit in europe. Will still win the league by 10 + points.

So, a smaller margin than Man City, then?

Or Bayern Munich or Paris St Germain, come to think of it.

Man. City are exceptional, one of the best English club teams I've seen in last 20 years of watching football.

Celtic were better last season imo and were comfortably dispatched in europe.

Is it too much to ask Aberdeen or Rangers to actually win a game on a weekend they don't and take the title race to May?

Celtic are exceptional compared to everyone else in Scotland just as Man City, Bayern Munich and PSG are much better than anyone else in their countries. I'm not sure what the issue is. In any case, yesterday's game was fantastic. I'm struggling to see why anyone would use that as a stick to beat Scottish football with. I've sat through some fucking awful English Premier League games this season (mostly involving Man U).

Not this season. Hibs smashed them 4-0, they drew a home game 0-0 last few weeks, lost 1 nil to Killie (what a job Steve Clarke has don there is Tishbola playing much?), they drew at home to 0-0 with Rangers on New years eve. All results in last two months since their unbeaten run ended.

I think that the difference is that Bayern, PSG and Celtic are all likely to win their leagues comfortably again next season. I doubt if that will be the case with City. I remember about fifteen years ago United winning the league by some distance to make it three titles in a row and then buying Veron and Van Nistelrooy. The pundits were saying United would have another title wrapped up by the following Christmas. They ended up coming third behind Arsenal and Liverpool.

Man. City have brilliant players right through their team.

Celtic have a few good ones like Dembele and Kieran Tierney but imagine if we drew them in europe in the near future and they came to VP with Boyata as their defensive lynchpin (was supposed to be a disaster in the game yesterday) and Sinclair as their star striker.

The Wolves team from the weekend worried me more.
