Paul Lambert: "I thought we were excellent how we lost the game I don't know"

I heard that and my heart sank , but for the grace of god .............

Still on for my 3 way stripey twats relegation party.

Me too. Although at the start of the season I suspect my tips were slightly different to yours. I had Albion, Stoke and Bournemouth to go down.

We only disagree about Bournemouth. I thought Newcastle would struggle when they didn't really do much in the transfer market.

I think he should get a small electric shock every time he says "excellent" or "again".

That might make the cretin slightly more interesting.

It actually makes me feel nauseous listening to his same old ‘excellent’ drivel.  He never takes responsibility for anything.

Have you considered perhaps not listening?

On the BBC live text yesterday after Stoke went one nil up, some punter messaged about how glad he was to see Lambert doing well as he'd been treated harshly at Villa. Is that the general narrative that exists outside of the club? Lerner really made chumps of us all.

It's also interesting how fans/certainly not excluding myself from this, can get carried away after merely taking a lead or going behind in a game, where the manager/player in question's merits are either praised from the high heavens (''I always knew Hogan was the real deal'' or the opposite "Fucking hell Bruce, we've been woeful, no wonder we're losing" etc.)

Finally, interesting to see no sign of Ireland in Stoke's 18 yesterday. Already bomb-squaded again it seems.

I had a bet on Palace to win 2-1 and the ref bottled out of giving a second penalty against Shelvey for some serious shirt pulling. He clearly didn't want to give two penalties against the same player for the same offence. As for Lambert I am sick and tired of hearing how good a job he did with us. I was a season ticket holder for his entire reign and it was soul destroying. If he reckons he did such a good job why does he always have to justify himself and his time at the club? If he did such a good job I would like to hear him explain how he managed to lose a two legged cup semi final against a team three leagues below. As I have said before, the fact we didn't go down under him but got relegated in such shambolic circumstances after he left paints him in a far better light than he deserves.

Liverpool went through spurs' defence very easily there. 1-0 to the Scousers.

However to his credit in 2.30 minutes interview only 3 hits on "excellent" I expected 6.
