VAR is a huge stinking pile of crap, imagine how long a match would last between Ferguson’s Man United and Arsenal?

Totally agree. It’s not instant and alien to the game of football.

Van Dik has played well for Liverpool. Best pointer on the pitch.

Ultimately you want the right decision to be made for your team and I have no issue with a small wait while a contentious call is ruled on, but what TV referees take out of the game is the supremacy of the officials right there. VAR to me is being sold as an aid to cut mistakes, but the real problem is that refereeing is such an undesirable pastime at grass roots level that the ones that make it to the big leagues are not the best, but the best of what's available. Having a television ref overruling the one on the pitch is going to destroy the shreds of respect players at all levels have for them.

All over. 2-3 even with VAR on their side.

It’s funny that Liverpool aren’t winning anything again.

Exactly. You see that at cricket now where Umpires have become pathetic add ons to the game, rather than authoritative  figures on the field, too afraid to make decisions and defaulting to TV official.

Although the whole 'Albion winning' thing does take the shine off it a bit.

There are already plenty of pointless interludes in a game of football, I couldn't give half a toss about a few more in exchange for getting rid of the massive bollock droppings that occur just about every game now, and to properly make all those decisions which are probably physically impossible for human beings to make.

If they are going to use it then surely it should be used for every match?

Gotta hand to the Baggies a great win tonight, thought Rodriguez was superb.
