We’d have cowered, pissed on the rug like a beaten puppy with the Subservient One Bruce in charge.

Why does nobody say “it’s like a scene from the dark ages” when clubs other than us invade the pitch?

We wouldn't have even tried to win. Just like we won't against Peterborough in a couple of weeks.

I do wonder what fine they will get. If it is even a tenth of the one we cowered down and paid I will be amazed.

What makes you think something as miserable and ridiculous as that?

Because Mark Lawrenson wasn't commentating.

I very much doubt we’d have give ManU a game with as much energy as that. Bristol performed magnificently.  They have so much belief in themselves.

We haven't really given Man Utd a proper game in the best part of twenty-three years - the institutionalised losing mentality we have displayed against them in that time is/was a major source of embarrassment.

Was it him of Phil McNulty. Keen to know as I keep tweeting McNulty about this.

Not even the three times when we beat them? Our record against them is bad enough, without erasing our victories from history.

He'll pick reserves and make it abundantly clear he'd prefer not to have a cup run. Is my prediction. Hope I'm wrong.

Both. Lawrenson said it on commentary and McNulty did a ridiculous editorial piece on the Monday. And that's before we even start on Send Us The Bill Howell.

They should be expelled from the competition and their place awarded to the real Bristol team
