I see Benteke formerly known in these parts as “The Beast” missed a late penalty to win the game for Palace. He still hasn’t scored this season.

Come home son. All will be forgotten as you drive us to promotion.

I'd love him back. Perhaps if we get promoted?

It’s always nice to see Newcastle get beat. Especially on their birthday.

We could always ask about a loan. What’s the worst they could say, no?

He certainly isn't popular at the Sainsbury's stadium today. He wasn't the designated penalty taker, insisted on taking it then missed.

My Palace supporting friends tell me his confidence is shot to pieces and Hodgson will be looking for a striker as a priority in January.
I doubt the penalty shenanigans today will have endeared him to Roy.

I heard Hodgson on the radio after the match and he didn’t sound happy with Benteke.
I think the latter is homesick. Just ask them, Tony, you never know.

Toronto FC wins MLS Cup 2017. Goals by Altidore and Vasquez in a 2-0 win. Brilliant display and the big players all played superbly.

Benteke leaving us was just an all round disaster for both us and him.

Good stuff. Bad year for American "soccer" all round. 😊

How ridiculous to have the Liverpool and Manchester derbies, potentially 2 cracking matches, on at the same weekend, when many other weekends, you get a very poor selection of matches on so called 'Super Sunday'. Whoever compiled the Premier League fixtures this season needs sacking.
