West Ham are a complete and utter shambles.
Wanker club of wankers. Loads of media myths about how big, historicaland successful they are. Horse shit.

Yep, but they finished third once in the 80's don't you know.  If they were based outside London they would get about as much attention as Albion do.

Interesting that Everton have gone for Allardyce and soon as they are in trouble.  I say it is interesting as it is the type of choice we didn't make when we began to struggle.

Looking back I would have (and probably did) turn my nose up at him back then. I was also probably wrong. The fact he actually managed to keep Sunderland up with THAT fucking disaster of a squad tells you everything.

As mentioned, you only had to see the Moyes pre match interview to know it is a fuck up of an appointment.
What a miserable depressing tossa.
I can see them firing him by January.

What a difference a couple of days make!

They have been as bad as we were in our relegation season until last night. A total shambles. I said at the time I wanted Allardyce as he would keep us up if we appointed him. It is amazing the difference it made having a new permanent manager watching that the players know won't put up with the crap they have been serving up all season. Fair play to Rooney, he was fantastic.

Listening to Moyes being interviewed depresses me. If he managed Villa he might drive me to suicidal thoughts.

They do have a lot of history.

In my lifetime mainly a history of being a yo-yo club between the top two divisions, so they are on course for living up to their history quite well at the moment to be fair.

West Ham’s next three games are Chelsea, City, Arsenal...
Bottom 3 all look lost causes at the moment, you’d think at least one might turn things around. So pleased we aren’t in that position currently, makes me truly question how much I miss the big league (as Bruce calls it).

I said before the season started that the three to go down would be Bournemouth, Swansea and one of Albion or Stoke. I stand by that. I think Hodgson will pull Palace out of the trouble like he did with Fulham the year they looked dead and buried but had a great late run and sent Small Heath down instead.

Are you really saying you don't want promotion this season?

A poster named Dave Woodhall ( I think)  suggested that it would be good to win the division title every season and not get promoted I am in that camp.

Sounds good to me. But should we go up our attendances will rise by at least 20% so there are plenty out there who only want to see us on the same pitch as the top teams.

Any figure on half and half scarf sales in the championship as opposed to the premier league? ;)

Agreed. It's just great to not have the weekend ruined by the Villa result. We've won 10 games already, there were only 13 clubs in the Prem last year that made it to twelve wins all season (albeit with fewer games to play). Realistically if we go up then next season will be mediocre at best. Promotion is very much a double edged sword.

Rooney just returned one into the net from his own half from a bad clearance by the goalie.

Most goals from that distance are a speculative lob/hoof but Rooney absolutely drilled that one. Superb technique.

Good pen save by Pickford
