They have made an absolute shambles of this recruitment drive

Everton smell of death, very much as we did for several seasons before finally going down.

Weird one with them.  They were 7th and miles clear of 8th last season, with a decent team and manager.  Then they loser their best player and fail to replace him, and it all goes tits up for them.  Not like us where the decline was ongoing and pronounced over several years.  If they had got Giroud from Arsenal, they’d probably still have Koeman in charge and be top 6.

The decline has been very quick but they do remind me of us 15/16. Shambolic at the back, star striker sold and a load of new signings doing very little, manager changed early on. Their recent 'performances' are as bad as anything we were serving up that season. Last 8 games they've conceded 25 goals. Some going for a side that brought in about £150m worth of players recently.

They still think themselves as being a bigger club than us so I am smiling. Nevermind a goal scorer, their failure is not replacing an outdated defence

Williams and Lescott seem uncannily similar in their crapness.

Once AW tweets a pic of an expensive car after a heavy home defeat, they'll be nailed on for relegation.

It actually pains me to watch highlights of Everton games as it gives me flashbacks to our relegation season. They look totally shambolic.

For a change I had a crucial stroke of luck go my way on Sunday. I was waiting on an Arsenal win to complete my acca. To be fair I think it probably was a penalty for Arsenal's  last gasp winner but then I would say that wouldn't I?

Good to see Charlie Austin scoring a couple, he's been very unlucky with injuries over the last few years. A striker I've always rated.

Disappointing. Big Sam will probably keep them up. Fingers crossed they don't hire him :)

If it means a slot opened up for the Boggies to fall in to then it will be worth it.

I agree with PWS it looks like us 15/16 Everton need to get the right man in quickly or they could be in big trouble.

Made some dreadful signings. Rooney, Klassen and Sigurdsson all competing for same position. Some way to spend the Lukaku money. Baines, Jagielka and Williams all look finished too.

Second goal from Ash Young, a great free kick, and manure lead 2-0 at Watford.
