Our old friend, Ciaran Clark, has the armband for Ireland tonight. Fair play to him.

That is hilarious.  Took me a while to understand why he was replaced, mind.  Not with it today.

You're not alone.

He tries to slide his arm in but got there a fraction too late.

Jesus wept. This camera angle on Sky is giving me the vapours.

The Derry MoN's tactics aren't helping either.

I suppose to come away with 0-0 away from home would be seen as a decent result but RI were pretty poor in their approach to the game. Hoofing the ball at every opportunity seemed to be the tactic throughout, how very MON.  Ray Houghton called it right in his punditry. “A bit more belief could have seen them better”.

I suppose if you're doing okay under him you see MON's tactics differently, but as a neutral he plays some godawful football.

Although this is going to be real heartache for NIR being denied a WC appearance by an incompetent  Official they should think more about their failure to score a goal in 180 minutes of football.

NI played very well, they just don’t have enough good players but still gave it everything. Maybe if they’d had a similar plan on Thursday who knows? One thing I do know is that the Michael version of football versus the Martin is far better.

Take over as Scotland manager, please Michael.

He may have taken Northern Ireland to a major tournament but he's not Paul Daniels.
