I like watching this Spurs side.

Sigh.

Me too, a club I dislike more than any other, but I like their manager and with the exception of Vertongen I can't find much wrong with the players in this team. Entertaining and good to watch, sigh indeed.

Yep and a strong squad as well.  They are going to find it hard to keep hold of some of their top players though, especially Kane.  I'm sure I heard somewhere earlier in the season that he is on £80,000 a week, which although is an incredible amount of money, probably isn't near the amount other top players around the country and abroad are being paid.

And Deli Ali on 50k a week.

Nice to know Everton have now joined the list of Arsehole Clubs😡

For sacking Koeman? They are in the bottom 3, just got bashed for 5 at home and spent a kings ransom in the summer. Looks fair enough to me.
He is the coach only and money was spent by management. It's not his fault that they totally overspent and acquired misfits. Furthermore with these new players in he needed more time to turn them into a cohesive unit. Arseholes in my opinion. May be Moyse can rescue them.

They were seventh last year and now they're eighteenth. If the manager isn't good enough to do better than that, get rid of him.

Are we "arseholes" because we got rid of Di Matteo?

I'd have given him a bit longer. Replacing Lukaku was always going to be a big ask though and spending all that money on Siggurdson was ridiculous.

With Lukaku they've essentially been a one man team for the last few seasons, so it was essential they replaced him.  Despite spending well over £100m, they failed to do that, and Rooney was a ridiculous signing.

Let's not forget how poor Everton have been in the europa this season, I imagine that's a competition they wanted to do well in.

they sell one of the league's best strikers, failed to replace him, and wonder why they are struggling? Sound familiar?

What makes me chuckle, is how a lot of pundits and ex players were applauding Everton for their signings and the fact they got them in early. These same pundits and e's players are now saying how it all went wrong for them.

Apparently, Koeman was banking on getting Giroud as replacement for Lukaku. When the Arse said 'no' he was screwed.

I think they bought terribly in the summer. Spending circa £30m per player that would only keep them 7th. I know there's a glass ceiling which is hard to break, but the players they bought smacked of a lack of imagination. They were positively MON-esque (NB: I do not want this to be a MON conversation - I'm simply saying mostly British and overpriced)

Journalists who are a bit too clever for themselves said the Sandros signing was a great piece of business,  a steal at 5 million.

I haven't got a problem with Spurs or Everton. I liked the Everton team of the mid eighties (basically because they weren't Liverpool or Manchester United) and I liked the Spurs side of the early eighties. Their back to back FA cup wins are amongst the first FA cup finals I can properly remember.

The Jury is out on that and never going to come in so no point in discussing further.
