I don't know about anything else but Williams looks overweight in PL football terms at least.

The more I think about the guy wading in whilst holding his kid the more my blood boils. As well as a ban from the ground he needs reporting to social services.

I do however reserve the right to get my son involved if it kicks off at a game. On the basis he has left school, is bigger than me and a black belt in karate. ;)

As for Williams, how the hell did he stay on the pitch? I am guessing there will be some retrospective action from UEFA towards individuals from both teams and both clubs, particularly obviously Everton.

I thought the Belgrade player (Rodic?) was unlucky to be sent off against Arsenal.

Worst team in a generation
Worst football in a generation
Worst manager in a generation
Our best player hounded out to the margins of the club
Good young players going backwards in their development
Players embarrassing the club on the pitch in front of the whole of the continent
Biggest transfer war-chest in the club's history flushed down the toilet
Ineffective leadership off the pitch from the club chairman, CEO and owner
Stadium situation looking less than green for go

What was that about us and Everton being similar?

Nothing like a good overreaction from PL fans.  They have on the face of it truly wasted the Lukaku money though.

Signing Sigurdsson made as much sense as Liverpool signing Oxlade Chamberlain. Everton seem to have lots of midfield players who aren't actually that good.

I went out for a beer with my two best buddies last week - both big Evertonians
It was like a wake
I have often thought our two clubs similar in many ways - both sets of fans deserve more than they are getting right now
It would sadden me to see both Villa and Everton languishing in the second tier
As for the new ground ..... when I first read the details in the Echo my reaction was the same to what I feel every time I see Dr Tony posting ....... Bull shine - it ain`t gonna happen

I wouldn't call it an overreaction. A dream team ownership of a bloke with loads of cash and a lifelong fan/good businessman, a highly rated manager with a decent CV from Southampton, England's record goalscorer returning as a talisman for the club he loves and other highly rated big signings in goal, defence and midfield. Tipped for top six and maybe a trophy. To say it isn't going according to plan would be a massive understatement. As for the on and off field stuff last night you would be tempted to say things couldn't get any worse. But anyone who knows football knows it can and possibly will get worse.

If Koeman doesn’t get the shove i’d Want him and his staff at our place straight away if it was possible.

Look at all those empty seats at West Ham. Sullivan and Gold must think they’re back at the Sty.

Great win for Brighton, Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy superb at the back.

With the humiliating home defeat reinforcing that feeling.

Look at all those empty seats at West Ham. Sullivan and Gold must think they’re back at the Sty.

Not very likely since they have conveniently forgotten they were ever there in the first place and have also forgotten how they knowingly flogged them to a chancer.

As for West Ham missing 'fortress Upton Park', playing there didn't stop them from being relegated twice in the seventies, once in the eighties, once in the nineties and twice since then. One top ten finish in the seventies, four in the eighties,  four in the nineties and six since then. Three top six finishes since 1970. But they  have four major trophies in 121 years, six if you include the inter toto cup and world cup.
