After winning the Women's European Championships six times in a row, Germany have been knocked out by Denmark in the Quarter-Finals. Wide open now, maybe England could win it.

Fully deserved too.

Last team to beat them in a knockout match was also Denmark in '93 apparently.

Denmark were definitely the better team, was great to see and makes the competition so much more exciting.

In fact both Denmark and the Netherlands play good attacking football. Hopefully England will get through as well.

Germany seemed devoid of ideas without the big unit they normally stick up front.

Admittedly, I only watched the last seven minutes.

Seems an open tournament. Could see Denmark, Netherlands, England or France winning it.

Don't think Spain can unless they improve dramatically and Austria seem unlikely. They work hard and press well, but don't have enough talent.

The goalkeeping in women's football is shockingly bad. USA keeper massively fucked up for the opening goal vs Brazil. Brazil keeper terrible for the equaliser.

Great game though 4-3 US. Lots of goals late on, US were 3-1 down

A lot of media commentators have spoken about the high quality of the football in general, but all have spoken of the lack of quality goalkeeping.

That'd why I couldn't understand the French pissing about with a free kick near the end, especially as the England goalkeeper seemed to be standing on one leg. Just kick it towards the goal!

Bromsgrove 0-4 Leamington. No real surprise as they are 3 levels higher but notable for us having to name our manager and assistant manager as subs as we had 10 players unavailable today!
Come on you Brakes.

Does it improve stopping time?

Excellent!

Just been reading a report of Sheffield Wed's friendly with Rangers over the weekend. 8000 Rangers fans turned up, with smoke bombs, bangers and songs about billy boy and the pope! What on earth were Wednesday thinking? Brought back a few scary memories

God forbid anyone should travel in large numbers and sing at a football match.
