In relation to FFP, if we are going to be sponsored by Recon, given that they own the club, is this likely to be refused as income towards bringing in revenue to satisfy the rules? Is that how it works? Would we need to locate a completely different sponsor, and DOES it help with FFP?

As far as I understand it won't be refused unless we try to take the piss.  If the sponsorship is reasonable for a club of our size and stature (i.e. not massively dissimilar to previous deals) then it shouldn't be an issue.

This is what really makes me incredibly concerned about the integrity of football and the future of Villa. A club of our size and stature should be getting deals as big as (or - if I'm being fair - bigger) deals than a Man City or Spurs yet, for some reason, we are not allowed?  This kind of dubious rule change is killing us and ossifying the top six.

Nurse ive found him, in the tardis thinking it was 2009

Ha! Not at all - the point is we never (for one reason or another) seem to get a fair deal for sponsorship money.  In 2009 we would have been challenging for a top four place and would have been the fourth most trophied club in England but I'm willing to bet our various commercial/sponsorship deals (I appreciate the Acorns deal was around about this time) did not reflect this.

Not keen. much prefer last seasons, at least it had a proper collar which is what lets this one down, it just looks like a training top. the shades of claret and blue same as last year too which I didn't mind for one season at least. Most disappointing shirt since 2010-11 chequered Nike thing.

I do like a hooped sock, however, the best sock of all was the white with light blue and claret striped top, circa 74-81.

Only time I liked hoops was on the 1997-98 AST kit.

I'd be happy with one of their hunting designs for our away shirt, they are pretty cool.

The kits look 100% better without any sponsor name across the front

They both look excellent. A shame, as I was hoping they'd be shit this year to fuck with Under Armour's profits.

Never been a great fan of black away tops,  preferring white or yellow.
I have to admit, though, that this one is pretty good.

Manufacturers cant win with our home top, though. Have a play with designs and it's 'Not traditional', keep it traditional and it 'Same old...'

Two very smart kits. Best we've had in years, and hopefully we'll have a decent team to put in them.

Don't like the shadow lions on the supposed home top and don't like the pixels on the supposed away top. Apart from that they're ok
