just a few yards away from it and it was clearly a penalty imo

if Kodjia had been p[laying we would have won. Davis had 2 chances  fluffed them both and looked very slow to me. Hogan is never going to cut it at VP - no real threat and looks very injury prone. much work to be done in the summer and I'm loosing faith that Bruce is the man to do it.

It's a bit to early to be writing off Hogan I think after just a handful of games, I hope next season he stays clear of injuries and plays how he can do.

Bit of justice is equalising; we were by far the better team.

Have heard that Baker's sending off and the penalty were dodgy. We should have had a penalty before they scored, not sure how the Linesman missed it.

Villa Park looked gorgeous from the highlights, bathed in sunlight. Looked a great game too, we more than matched a team who only didn't win the league cos of our results today.  If we show a bit more nous we should be aiming to win all 46 games next season.

I like Sunday 12 o'clock kick offs. Left for VP straight after a full breakfast and was back home at 2ish to get on with the rest of the day and of course my record of not having seen Villa lose at mid day starts was preserved😊As for the match it was actually one of our better performances at home despite not winning. The young lad Davis looked quite useful and Jack will be a star next year. We just need the right manager.

Maybe we're better than we give ourselves credit for.

Jesus Christ - I just saw Bakers red card on Twitter...He never touched him!
Unbefuckinleavable!

Was it a straight red or two yellows?
If it's a straight red we must appeal

Some questionable refereeing in this league to say the least.

Did Sidwell make more tackles today than he did in his entire career with us?

I thought we showed a lot of character in the second half.  I was very impressed with Davis.  I thought he was quick but others do not agree.  Perhaps I am too used to Adomah's lack of pace and Davis only looks quick in comparison.  That aside he showed hold up ability and has a Withe esque ability to stick his arse into the centre back in aerial duels.  He should have won at least one penalty and scored the winning goal.  I just pray when they get around to using him they don't stick him on the wing.  Both of Hourihane's free kicks brought good saves from the keeper and Angela in the hole seemed to improve him.

I was impressed with Davis too. He holds the ball up well.
One thing that did annoy me was Bacuna's sulking when Hourihane was on the ball for free kicks. I want Bacuna out of Villa asap.
For what it's worth, I think that may have been Adomah's last game for us

To be fair to Brighton they've been much better most of the season. They just haven't shown it when we've played them. Saying that of course, they have Steve Sidwell...they're going to struggle next season, but they'll enjoy it, they're massively punching above their weight and I suppose the likes of Bournemouth are something for them to aspire to.
