Gabby's parting gift perhaps. Almost inevitable that he'd be the one to score. He'll be back to anonymity next week I imagine. That being said I can't help but enjoy it when he does the Blose over. So for at least today, cheers Gabby. It's a little sad but that'll probably be our highlight of the season, particularly if they end up going down and we hammered a significant nail in the coffin. (Added bonus of taking Droopy down a peg or two as well.)

Didn't take him long to fit in over there, talking about Gabby post-match.

Quote
Redknapp, leaving the whole room open-mouthed, said: “He’s come on and had 10 minutes. That will keep him happy here for another year.”

We get it Arry, you've lost the match, slipped closer to relegation but you know the only thing that really matters to the knuckle draggers really is hating Villa.

It was a "cheeky dig"  according to the Mail.

Lots of thud and blunder by us, and it comes to something when in a local derby your best players were the back four plus Jedinak. But the sheer release of joy in the Holte when the goal went in was truly phenomenal. So much to enjoy - they miss a sitter in the first half, the player they detest most comes on and lifts the game and the atmosphere, scores a beautiful goal - corner to the back post, precision knock back by Baker and a crisp volley to finish, . The real satisfaction comes from the fact it must hurt them so much more as we were pretty poor and still won from a scrappy goal from our only corner. And to hear Redknob on the way back truly pissed off as we only had one shot on target ("Tom didn't even get his gloves dirty") was the icing on the cake.

As much as I am delighted for us to win that photo pretty much sums up how far we have fallen in the last few years.

I am embarrassed by it.  It is the kind of thing they would do and we would quite rightly slaughter them for being so small time.

Or maybe they know what it means to us after years of shit and in memory of Ugo. Plus it will wind up the rats so all good with me.

The season is over, it's a win in a local derby. It's a bit of fun in what has been a disappointing campaign. If the players are doing it next season and we're not challenging strongly to go up I think there will be very little tolerance for that kind of stuff

Take baker, Hutton, Taylor , milo, Chester and 10 mins of gabby - the rest were garbage, no thanks to Johnston too jittery, Lansbury lacks bottle, bacuna is bacuna, hogan finding it hard to adjust, Chester looked as if was playing with a knock as for super jack will struggle to properly make it.   A win is a win but they outplayed us first 45 mins, nothing to write home about

My favourite caller on WM was the bluenose who complained that Paul Franks commentary was biased towards Villa.

Franks explained that not only did he not provide any commentary it was split, FM was blues based and DAB was Villa.
The idiot must have spent the whole match listening to the Villa commentary.
Mr Fuse. You have just given me the best laugh of the weekend. You couldn't make it up.

I thought the photo was a bit embarrassing, kind of thing you'd expect them to do if they'd beaten us.

I agree with some of that, they weren't the better team in the first half, both teams looked poor whole game, Hogan we cant criticise because he's left out there with nothing to play off, I still don't know if he's any good, but that's down to tactics and the way we played today, I think says Steve better up his game, because blues were awful and so were we.

Can we not just enjoy ourselves without descending into how low have we sunkism?  It's not like another opportunity won't be along in a minute.

Ha ha! Yes, the clock is ticking.

no thanks to Johnston too jittery,

Where on earth do you get jittery from? He had one thing to do all game where he saved the shot....also played the pass of the match.

Best keeper we've had for years...sign him up Bruce!

Winning in a derby is everything, ok it wasn't pretty but when is a derby ever anything pretty.

Highlight of the game was about 15 mins from end when Baker shielded a ball out for goal kick, that was perfect tribute to Ugo who was the king of the shield out for a goal kick :-)

Baker motm
