I loved watching him play.
Also, I remember a very articulate interviewee, whenever I heard him on the radio.
Mostly, he just came across as a very nice, talented man. RIP, Ugo.

This is incredibly sad. Loved Ugo as a player. A giant. Hard as nails. And graceful in an odd way.

Rest in peace, Ugo.

Gutted, absolutely gutted. He was my favourite player for a good few years when football was all that mattered to me. I will hold some great memories of him. Totally gutted and desperately sad.

met him once in a Birmingham nightclub and he was genuinely friendly. We were both at the bar and when i mentioned that I was a Villa fan he pulled out a flute and poured some of the champagne that he'd bought and gave it to me. Was more than happy chatting away and you could tell he was, well, genuine. Terrible loss for his family and friends. I said Dalian and Ugo but also Sir Graham. 3 top people as well as Villamen.

Devastated. He was a colossus for us. Cannot believe he's gone at only 44. RIP big man.

Saw one of his first games at VP against Norwich, we lost 3-2 and he was like Bambi on ice, don't think I ever saw the great man put a foot wrong ever again. R.I.P

Just awful news. I'm so sad to hear this. That's no age at all. God speed, Ugo and thank you.
