The problem is, we won't get offered that. If we finish 3rd, the short term future of the club depends on three matches. You need some luck (or at the very least an absence of bad luck), as one bad decision could cost literally millions of pounds. My point is, that with the resources and backing that Steve Bruce has, it would be a failure to have to enter into that lottery. Even if we end up winning.Maybe catastrophic failure was too strong, but finishing lower than second isn't good enough this year.
