Doors – The End

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end

A Birmingham band, preferably. Dexys Midnight Runners had a few hits back in the day, didn't they?

Certainly not bloody Oasis.

Do they play "Don't Look Back in Anger" after the game in order to get people out of the stadium quicker ?

It certainly works on me

Definitely needs to be Birmingham related. Heartache Avenue by The Maisonettes ticks every box.

I'd definitely champion something local. Supernaut by Black Sabbath would be good as that riff is the nuts.

I have heard Dave Wakeling at a Beat concert pledge his alliances to the Villa . I think he said he needed a fast pair of running shoes being a Villa fan in Chelmsley Wood, which promoted a sad bluenose to throw a a plastic pint of beer and thankfully miss.
If you want a Brummie band for a Villa song , The Beat's back catalogue is second to none. Can't really think of a song relevant to Aston Villa though.

I really don't get playing Oasis at the end of games. I find it pretty laughable, in fact.
