Do you really think a deLaet returning from a season-long injury will show more ? Or a 19 year old rise to the challenge ? We need some FIGHT here, guys. ( p.s. just like we didn't get last season, I know ! ) OMG UTV
I sometimes get the feeling you're taking the piss BOB, no offence.

Certainly no offence taken, but I think Hutton should get credit for his willingness to put some effort into it. He is close to becoming - if not already - the next Westwood, for some folks on here.
OK, so his end product fails more often than not leaving him out of position. I can accept that he is not a good player, but he is one man who actually makes you think " well he's trying and the others don't appear to be ....." No ?
We really need  Tavernier from Rangers, IMO.

This unexplained decline, which is gathering in pace after the 5 years of gentle drain circling in the PL is taking us somewhere.

If you can detach yourself from the sheer misery of it, it's kinda interesting.

Where exactly are we going? How far will we go down? Lg1, Lg 2 - non league?

Actually, standing still in the Championship for years who be far more boring than continuing decline.

Also, didn't we enjoy the speculation at the end of Lerners days? Surely one day, if the decline continues, Xia will disappear fairly abruptly (from what I know of Chinese buisiness culture) and we can enjoy months of ownership speculation again.

I have been supporting Villa for nearly 50 years now. The wife keeps telling me "why do you keep putting yourself through this." I just tell her she doesn't understand. I've been delving into some Villa history lately, when we had a decent side, to make myself feel better.
As someone else said on here recently, they can't take our memories away.

good for you, like many I suspect, my affliction is traceable to my family history - once it's in the blood, you can't get rid of it.

I'm going on holiday next month.

Can't think of any Villa -related reasons to be honest.

We fucking suck.

Congrats, N'ZMAV.

Don't pick Villa Park for the reception, you'll be divorced in six months otherwise.

my Dad was, I think, the last person Doug Ellis gave permission to for his ashes to be scattered at the Holte End, in October 1995. He told me last night he's now happy to leave.

No he's not. Hutton has been crap for at least three seasons now
