Be interesting to see how many times we've conceded from a short corner

Not that it'll be a lot,but I bet it's a great deal more relative to our peers...Grrrr

Sigh. Thought we played well without threatening a great deal. Could have doe with getting to H-T 0-0 so the crowd start to get agitated, but this is the Villa so.....

Played OK for large parts without actually threatening to score.

It was only a matter of time,  a bit of pressure and they score

God I can't say I've been impressed with hogan's touch so far

He looks like he's been on the McCormack diet.

Twice in forty seconds Newcastle able to stroll across vast stretches of pitch where Taylor is supposed to be.

This is why playing well without scoring isn't good enough because teams know that whatever happens we'll gift them a chance around half time.

Shot ourselves in the foot yet again.  Surely when the balls bouncing in your own box you expect the keeper to take charge.  Been in the game and frustrated them, but we simply don't look like scoring

"Promising? Determined? Team-player? Score goals? Committed? Statistically brilliant?

Then come to Aston Villa, where we'll suck all that shit right out of you!"

No he looks a Steve Bull type player, needs the ball in front of him and he gets shots off but doesn't link well. Some nice runs mind.

Well for 40 mins we were the better team and then comedy defending yet again which as usual increases the confidence of the opposition. You really can't blame Bruce for that.  We've been set up right and nullified them it's not his fault they yet again switch off

There can not be another team, in any division, that aimlessly kicks out at the ball, like we do.
It's like they all have this inbuilt reaction to just whack , hoof and slash at the fucker, if it comes near them rather  than try and take a touch, or control the ball or god forbid, pass to a teammate.

I thought we played ok for the majority of the game considering we are away at the Toon. They get one shot on target due to shite defending and the way our luck is going at the moment we will end up with fuck all again.
