After all the whining Somerset did last season I'd quite like to see them fail narrowly to avoid relegation.

I like Vic Marks so I'd like them to stay up. I also think if relegated they will spin their way back up quite comfortably, thus harming our chances of an immediate return.

Mind you, we appear so abject an immediate return appears a long way off.

Although the fact Andrew Strauss had a say in who was available for championship matches last season, notably the Yorkshire players for the final match against (surprise, surprise) Middlesex who were able to play Finn (surprise, surprise), I'm conflicted now!

Keaton Jennings is leaving Durham for Lancs.

If Jennings & Hameed regain some form (without being quite good enough to be recalled by England), Lancs could have quite a batting line up

Looks like Northants are certain to beat Leics. Seems unlikely that Notts will win against Sussex having conceded 565 so by my reckoning maximum bowling points should be enough for Worcs to go up even if they end up losing.

Great minds Gareth!

Edit- realised Northants won't be able to catch us with the 3 bonus points so Notts game irrelevant .

Edit- IF we get them all out!

In their relegation season who was worse - Warwickshire or Villa?

Villa. At least Warks got to a Cup Final (which Villa did the season before).

I think calling this a collapse is harsh, the conditions are quite clearly favouring the bowlers and it looks like it could well be all over in 2 days.  With the lead at 142 I'd suspect we're already not far from a competitive target, if we can get it up towards 200 I honestly think that should be enough.
