Porterfield and Javid both released by the Bears

Javid unlucky. Surely warrants a place more than OHD?

Thought Porterfield might go.  Been a decent servant over the years but it is probably time for him to go.

Next year's internationals announced.

Bears host a Twenty20 against Australia and a test against India. No Pakistan, but can't complain too much as it's only a two test series and we hosted them on their last visit.

We also have T20 Finals Day again, though moved back to the middle of September which seems optimistic, weather-wise.

I honestly don't know. Wasn't aware of any knock on finals day.

Hain was struggling in the final with a calf problem. He nearly needed a runner.

Thanks. Having to go to a wedding on Saturday afternoon didn't help with my viewing the final. God bless SKYgo.
