A disciplined performance with the ball even allowing for the last over. Woakes struggled in the last test and clearly he needs overs to regain his rhythm.

Even allowing for that, T20 is weighted so heavily in the batsman's favour that even the most successful bowlers can be taken apart.

They can change their team, but as a T20 side I think they'd be weaker if they shoe-horned Broad into the side.
