Warwickshire began the final over before the 110 cut-off mark still needing eight runs to claim a fifth batting point. But Roelof van der Merwe limited them to just three runs.

Three balls later, Jeetan Patel did bring up the 400. But just too late!

And, having allowed Somerset to pick up a second bowling point in their quest to reach 400, how important might that two-point swing prove come September?

In the context of this match alone, in the battle of Division One's bottom two, at least the Bears' quick scoring today has set up a likely declaration - and a chance to put some pressure on the hosts.

Is it contrived bowling in Derby-Worcs game? Worcs 180 odd for 0 in reply to 275 all out. Setting up a one-day decider tomorrow?

When the weather wipes out 5 sessions of play, it leaves little hope of a result, but I am afraid we are sinking deeper down the  proverbial shitter.

I am going down for the last day, so at least the cider will l take the edge off.

Not a very fruitful start to the day with Somerset moving onto 119/4 32
Trescothick 58 and nightwatchman Leach frustrating bears bowling on 15.

Enjoy the Cider AC. I was down in Taunton a few weeks ago for our clubs pre-season weekend tour. Excellent choice, as you would expect, of Cider.
Lets just say some of our younger members struggled somewhat!!!
