Bears on to 204/4 for a lead of 99. Bell and Ambrose had looked entirely comfortable for a while against the curran brothers but Dernbach has slowed them a little and Batty is making Bell look nervy right now.
Bell gone for 99
222/5 Lead of 117
Looks to be a fair bit of life in the pitch for the spinners which might please Patel if we need to bowl again.
Looks very dark over Edgbaston............rain is forecast for a couple of hours according to the BEEB
commentators were getting very worried by the clouds half an hour ago but they seemed happier for a while but mentioning black clouds again just.
Couple of good wins to start the season for the Pears...liking another home grown seamer is coming up with performances in Tongue - just need openers to join in now
256/5 (lead over 150)
Nothing in it for the quicks right now and Ambrose has his 50.
Off for bad light, hint of rain as well so covers on but they're just taking an early lunch so no overs lost for now.
280/5 at lunch so lead of 175 Ambrose 72 and Clarke 17
The only threat in the session was Batty who was getting variable bounce and a decent bit of turn so if we decide to go for it Patel will be the key.
Not back out on time so starting to lose overs now.
It has brightened up a lot now..........Should be back under play within 15 or 2O minutes
restarting at 2:05 with 10 overs lost so about 55 left in the day.
Root and Bairstow have contributed the grand total of 18 runs in the current Yorkshire match whilst Ballance has a century in both innings.

Add to that a lack of runs for Hameed and not many for Cook or Duckett and you have to be a little worried about where England are right now.
Clarke and Ambrose both gone now so 303/7 with the 198. 48 overs left now and there seems to be a bit more in the pitch for the seamers, getting a little bit of movement now. another 30-40 runs would be nice.
412/8 and not much left in the game now so we've broken the run of defeats and manage to get some decent scores for a few of the batsmen now.
shook hands and called it a draw with the bears moving off the bottom of the table.
A decent performance from Bears at Northants at the halfway stage of the RLC game which has been cut short to a 30 over game
with Bears bowling Northants out for 151 in 29.3. It will get rounded up a bit, Sky commentators reckon we will require 159 to win
in our first game in the defence of our trophy.
