They are the all the same ****** who said we were hugely mistaken to have gotten rid of TSM, TSM2 and Sherwood.

They were not quite so vociferous about RDM and Garde though....interesting that.

Discussing the situation on 'The Debate' on Sky now.  That deep thinker Craig Bellamy thinks the club have made a mistake.  Fuck off Craig.  Where's your golf club?

He contradicted himself though by saying that the club have made a mistake but only winning three out of 12 is not good enough.

The wheels have been coming off this season on numerous occasions, only the late goals and invidual skill has papered over the cracks.

All these pundits with opinions have not watched the 11 games of weird team selections, players played out of position, tactical lethargy, and poor game management, that we have witnessed, plus the lack of motivativation and coaching.

His time was up, he had gone stale. We knew it, he knew it.
The cabbage of fate just confirmed it.

About time...and good riddance!

Now that the new owners have come in, some positivity in the dugout and on the pitch is long overdue. Also delighted that the new owners have shown they aren’t going to be mugged off and aren’t afraid to be ruthless...they gave him a fair chance and he royally fucked it up.

All these media pundits with their throw away lines in support of Bruce can fuck right off too...just shows how little they know about what has been going on down at Villa both on and off the pitch. Some of the comments they have come out with are embarrassing especially as we have all seen how inept Bruce has been in so many ways.

Hopefully the new owners will be taking the right advise from the right ppl and make the right managerial appointment for this season and beyond.

I think the events of last night and the recent malaise does not reflect well on the new management.
This should have happened weeks ago, it took a boatload of abuse and a cabbage / lettuce to get him out.
The vacuum left by a lack of leadership leads to extremism.

Is Darren Fletcher that fella who moved to the Albion from Man Utd? What’s it got to do with him?

That was Norman Fletcher.

Norman Stanley Fletcher

Blimey, they have had 11 games to assess his performance, half (could be less) of those without a CEO.  This has grown very rapidly from probably the Blackburn game.  I would hardly call it lack of leadership, especially as we do not know what has been going on behind the scenes.

Now that he's gone I'd like to day that I'm sorry for the number of disagreements I've been involved with on this thread. It's never been a case of looking for them,  I just hated seeing us waste opportunity after opportunity under Bruce and couldn't believe the amount of support he got for what I've always seen as lazy, dull and ineffective management.

At times the results were ok but it was never anything sustainable and I could never get behind that sort of shit or bust approach as l always thought it would fail.

I just hope that the next guy doesn't lead to another 18 months of arguments on here.

I disagree. I think in the circumstances and timing of the takeover along with the fact he took us to the play off final last season and did have a decent track record for promotion from the championship all things considered they did the right thing at the time by sticking with him. Equally I think they have made the right decision and at the right time to sack him. So from the day they took over up to today I think they have made the correct decisions at the correct times. Personally I can't fault them in that respect.

There are quite a few assumptions in this post.

I think you are wrong and they they have somebody lined up, but only time will tell.

We had at least 18 months of arguments on here when MON was getting us into Europe with top six finishes and getting us to cup semi finals and a final so don't hold your breath.

So they should have only considered the games since they took over and ignored the previous 2 years?
Pretend it didn’t happen, just like Bruce did.

I'd say it was good leadership. Bruce had his chance, they monitored him, they haven't been rash or controlling and have been decisive when the wheels came off. There's still time to pull this round.

As much as i've wanted him gone for ages i'm not going to hold it against them that they gave him 11 games to prove if he was, or wasn't, the right man for the job.
