We could win the next two games but Steve will still be binned when the International break comes.  Stone cold fact
Yup

Indeed, we're all Nostradamus ;)

Our 11th league game this season is against Preston, our 11th, and final, league game under RDM was against Preston. I wonder if history will repeat itself.

Although I think it's more likely that Millwall away is the most likely bullet game. A quarter of the season gone and a 2 week break so if things haven't picked by then it seems the best time to do it. From the owners perspective at least.

Here’s Darren Fletcher with a shambles of an opinion:

“First and foremost, I think the cabbage being thrown at him is totally out of order. That shouldn't happen to any manager at a football ground.

"Secondly, he has been under unfair pressure since the summer and new owners came in. He has got a proven record of getting teams out of the Championship.

"But I think the fans have spoken, really. Ultimately that's been Steve Bruce's downfall.

"He is a great manager but it was just 'time's up', really. Aston Villa need a change."

First paragraph - agree
Second paragraph - utter nonsense
Third paragraph - probably true
Last paragraph - complete u-turn undermining is nonsense in the second paragraph

Bruce had this coming.

Letting our backline fall in to a mess, playing Jedi at CB, swapping the full backs. Sending one keeper on loan, then taking two seemingly inferior keeprs in on loan. All this on top of errors he admitted to last season (not freshening the side up after we'd thumped Wolves for one).

Bruce essentially sacked himself.

I wonder if they'll ever start to include his 2 failed attempts with us in his "proven track record".

Yes ‘promoted 4 out of the last 6 years he’s managed in the Championship’ keeps getting trotted out. Well he’s 0 for 2 in the last 2 years.

Also ‘he’s a great manager’, well he’s not. If he were a great manager he’d have spent his time at the top end of the top flight, not having to manage in the second flight.

Laughing at Darren Gough saying that Bruce could be the next Utd manager, jeez what are these people on?

That was great radio.

Thats what happens when cricketers start talking about stuff they know absolutely nothing about. It has the same value as if you asked Jurgen Klopp who should open the batting for England.

Darren Gough supports Barnsley as it his childhood local team, MK Dons as he lives around that area, Chelsea as his two sons are glory hunting Chelsea fans and has a soft spot for Villa as he has a mate who has a box at Villa Park and sometimes joins him. I am yet to discover who his fifth favourite team are.

Spurs   as you could imagine

Aye, it's down to him idolising Hoddle as a youngster. I reckon it was the small tight shorts what done it.

The final nail in the The Villa Engine.  Turned out to be a backfiring 2-stroke driven by people who were old enough to claim they had a licence before tests came in

Isn't it funny that all the people saying Bruce is fantastic haven't had him manage their club. Ask supporters who have followed  a potato head club for something closer to the truth.

To the first point, Darren Fletcher clearly hasn't got a clue how acrimonious it can get at Villa, a cabbage is nothing, almost comical.

The second point that he's been under unfair pressure since the summer, tosh, he shouldn't have even been at the club in the summer, complete nonsense.

Third point, the fans have spoken, so they bloody well should, it's the fans over many generations, investing into a club and making the club what it is, they have right and right is might.

He's a great manager???????on his departure, he leaves the club in pretty much the same position as when he took office, achieved nothing, wasted seasons, these guys know what they are doing and what is at risk, the rewards for them are vast just to walk through the club doors each day, nobody should be in any doubt the Bruce will have been paid an amount of money to leave the club, that would enable most people to spend the rest of there lives in early retirement.

Typickle football response, close ranks, firewall one of the syndicate members, blame the fans and above all else blame the cabbage.

Should have gone after that ridiculas final vs Fulham.

I agree on the cabbage, throwing anything at someone is out of order.

Is Darren Fletcher that fella who moved to the Albion from Man Utd? What’s it got to do with him?
