Bless the Lord.  What took them so long?

Meetings with Bruce, Calderwood, Agnew, Clemence, Walsh, probably agents, HR, lawyers etc. It takes time!

If it's anyone of the ilk of Pardew, O'Neill, McClaren, McCarthy, Moyes etc. I will simply give up.

I'm with you there, enough of that shit.  Time for a fresh broom, but would prefer no more Grade-Style gambles either.   Why can't we get somebody exciting but also with some experience?  Henry is intriguing, but a big old gamble too.

I would say that they have a clear plan about replacements; with a quick turnaround on bringing them in. Otherwise, they might well have kept someone like Agnew as interim.
I'm guessing they'll announce tomorrow that the replacements will start work next Monday.

I think the fact that all the backroom staff have gone means that a replacement has probably already been sounded out and has indicated that he wouldn't want to keep any of them.  Watching brief on Saturday and then appointed early next week hopefully.
I think I just said that Tom!!

It's Glen Whelan we all should be thanking, if he had scored that penalty, Brucie would probably still be in charge.

Dean Smith for me.

I wonder what the odds are for Bruce returning to Villa park in the other dugout before the end of the season? Won't be too long before he jumps back on the managerial gravy train. By christmas he'll be turn-up somewhere promising instant promotion/survival to some club desperate enough to go for him. I predict...........ipswich.

I am going to try and put a few quid on Glenn Whelan to win our player of the season award before everyone else lumps on. ;)

He should be ashamed of that penalty. End of. We could have had the extra points and potted Bruce - he wasn't going to go beyond Millwall.

I wish Bruce no ill, this time we deserve a bit of luck with a good appointment, because ultimately you do need a little lady.

Nah its the Phantom Cabbage thrower. Before that, Bruce's useless performance was barely raising a murmur outside Aston. Today we've been talked about by the national media, people with no interest in Villa have been asking me if i know where to find the cabbage video, even a google image search brings up pictures of Bruce under articles such as "10 unusual items that have been thrown at people". The bright spotlight of the public glare has shone on Aston Villa and they had to act. God bless the guy.

In celebration of cabbagegate, the stadium should now be renamed as Villa Pak Choi
