He should have been sacked after the play offs. When we looked on the verge of administration, he was forced into playing some of the kids. Now I have to ask, just what future have any of them got under him? Steer, surely better than the two brought in, TuNzabe, a centre half being played out of position while one of the players with the pace and turning circle of an old oil tanker played as CB. Aren't Elphick or Suliman better? De Laet, a revelation during pre-season, where has he gone? Davis, Green, Hepburn-murphy and Thor must be better than the other oil tanker Whelan, Elmo and El Ghazi! Where was Hourihane,Lansbury or Hogan for that matter?
Potato race's after match comments were just a replay of the same shite, that we heard for most of last season. Playing the same players, many out of position week in week out is madness.
New owners, get rid of him now please, before another season is wasted.

I still don't understand why Elphick was allowed to go out on loan with no cover.  Unless we are taking Robert Huth.  Absolutely bizarre decision.  Chester seems out of sorts and I wonder if, despite him being skipper, prefers someone next to him who organises, screams and shouts if necessary.

The players are playing like they are confused.  Not a good sign.
There was a video doing the rounds recently which showed Elphick slagging off Bruce. He was on a train and was secretly filmed. It's the reason he was bombed out. Bruce is a grade one grudge holder. He effectively got rid of our last recognised centre back because he had a strop. All this "at least he's a nice bloke" bollox has got to stop. He's not a "nice bloke" he's a petty, fraudulent, stubborn, clueless fucking chancer who's hanging in waiting for a hefty pay off. If he had any decency he would admit he's not up to the task and resign. It's the only decent thing to do now but I'll bet a pound to a pinch of salt he won't fucking do it.

It is funny how the majority of our ex managers turn out to be right bastards.

Maybe that’s why they become ex managers?

I'd want a German.

Good call providing it's not Jürgen Klinsmann.

The minimum I'd expect from this manager and his sidekick Calderwood is a solid defence, and it's shocking and unacceptable that they cannot coach a team in their care to defend (given their playing credentials). We've leaked a bucketload of goals already this season.
Furthermore, the volte-face about a leftback after Bryan's backword is bizarre in the extreme.
Playing 3 of the back 4 out of position is strange; not having a left-footer in that back 4 is stupid; playing an 'alien' back 4 in front of a keeper trying to acclimatise to the division is madness.

For these factors alone, I'd expect him to get the bullet, pronto.

Good call The Edge.  Bruce's treatment of Ross McCormack was every bit as bad as any piece of bomb squaddery by Lambert.

At least Lambert only bombed them as far as Star City.  McCormack got deported to Botany Bay.

It's about time we had a journalist do his job and ask Bruce some questions to explain his thinking, instead of being fed bullshit and going along with his stories.

1. What made you persist with Mile Jedinak at center back despite examples during the previous season that he wasn't up to it?
2. After trailing a left back for most of the window why did you decide to do without one and instead play a right back there?
3. What is the thinking behind loaning a younger player and then shunting him out to a position where we already have 4 players that can cover that spot?
4. Do you think going in to the season with a solitary center back in the entire squad is wise? If so why?

I don't want to hear anymore excuses about turmoil in the summer, players at the world cup, players not pulling their boots on, refs, individual errors, luck, losing players from the play off final, John Terry, leaders, anything. I want to hear the fat ****** explain why the defense is a mish mash fuck up of the highest order and looks like conceding every time the opposition step foot in our half and what the reasoning behind those decisions are because to the outsider it looks like he has lost his grip on reality and constructed the most lopsided squad I've ever seen down the Villa.

He's failed massively and deserves the sack.
