Right now an actual potato would be a big step up.

Oh you have to fucking laugh at this. He farmed out two players on loan that he really shouldn't have because they wanted first team football. They're both sitting on the bench for their new clubs today

Far better there than on our bench, of course.

Some would say you don't sack him after one defeat. However, this performance has been similar to others we've got away with, and is one which betrays so many Bruce trademarks. The question for anyone is 'how likely is this to sufficiently improve?', and I'm pretty sure of my answer.

It is our first league defeat of the season.

Although I couldn't help wandering if his entire managerial career is going to end where it started, at Sheffield United.

We'd smash the Championship.

It’s not just the defeat. It’s the fact that we all knew this was coming. The wins at the start were all deceptive to those who didn’t take notice. Those who defend Bruce from afar. His mates in the media for example. We all knew that the bubble such as it was came close to bursting even in those wins. Then came the draws. Now the defeats. It has all been so inevitable.

We'd certainly chip away at the top 2.

Yup, this is a performance that's been coming a long time.
