Or he could employ Abraham as a stopper. Then he'd be doing a Cork

I can take Elphick going to be honest as he really is poor.
Me too

3-4 other centre backs in the squad and I agree, he's never settled and doesn't play well with Chester. The issue is that our first team squad now has Chester and Tuanzebe and a couple of players out of position as the options for the next 4 months when we're supposed to be challenging for the league.  It's just piss poor planning.  Add the way he's handled the wingers and he's doing a great job of making a mess of things again.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think the decision not to bring in a proper replacement for Terry could be a really costly one.  He's brought in some promising players this summer, but the Tuanzebe and Moreira loans are questionable, especially if the former is not going to be used at centre half.

A Limerick to keep it going:

There was a Manager called Steve
Whose tactics were somewhat naive
To combat attacks, he was terribly lax
As no defence is hard to perceive

From Adomahs brother.  Must say he’s saying what all are thinking.

He said: “F*** Bruce. There’s no loyalty in football anymore. My brother was loyal to Villa and still is. Saved a man’s job and the man forgot.

“When he got left out the team last year, he could have gone on loan to a Prem/top Championship team but decided to stay because he loves Villa. Stayed and only got back in the team by chance, and saved the man’s job.

“People saying he fell off second half of the season lol. He spent the second half of the season f***ing defending.

All ?

Sounds like a right twat. Albert's been utter garbage for 6 months. What's he got to moan about in regards being dropped or even moved on ?

As for the 'could've gone to a prem club' ... yeah right. And Hutton really is the Scottish Cafu.

You only have to read any match threads going back a year i'd imagine to see how many of us here were moaning like fuck about Albert, now we're all supposed to be in shock that we could've let him go as he's a footballing genius. Priceless

yep, although so much for the great team spirit. I'd imagine after that relations between the two are gonna be a bit "awkward".

Bruce has been garbage for two years!
Albert has had to re-invent his playing style on the left and like any footballer will have highs and lows.
Albert has proven he can adapt something Bruce seems incapable of.

It's harsh but fair. Does anyone think Brucie would still be here without Adomah's goals?. I make it 14 points his goals turned into draws or wins which isn't bad seeing he isn't wanted at all by the manager and only got picked because Bruce didn't have any option.

I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure Bruce has already proven he can achieve things in this league, and with different clubs (adapting)

How you can claim last year was garbage is beyond me. Best, and most enjoyable season in about 7 years

But no need to go over that again i'm sure.

Albert's either broke or got incredibly lazy. Either way only he can sort out his form on the pitch. And i doubt after the new signings he's going to get many chances to do so.

He didn't deserve to keep his job at the end of last season and he doesn't deserve to keep it now. There is zero chance of promotion with him at the helm.
