Not sure I agree with the line of thought here.  Pretty sure Bruce is under no illusion this time as the new owners are a different kettle of fish, indeed he has already come out and said he needs to pay a different way, albeit blaming the crop of players he had before as the reason for not doing it. 

I still don’t get the c all to get shot now though. He’s had 4 weeks to cobble together a squad and with 5 new players in its not surprising we might be misfiring a bit but unlike last year we are not falling out of touch whilst we get our shit together. Just get behind your team and if by the end of November we are out of touch with the top 2 then call for his head, doing it now serves no purpose and will on,y set us back as there will be no time for a new manager to get his ideas across

I think it is sensible and defensible and all that. I only worry that, by sticking with a possibly inadequate Bruce, we sacrifice our chances of going up anyway. We'll have to see.

We will, and given where we were 4-5 weeks ago I’ll take that anytime!

That was very much my view, he knew the club in the absence of more or less anyone else of experience and was going to be an able, if unexciting captain in some stormy seas. The seas have now calmed and it’s unlikely he’s going to get better. I get that we will look ungrateful and premature by binning him but I still would.

He’s been well paid through this tenure, we don’t owe him.

He didn’t sign Grealish and in any case Grealish has improved due to age not Bruce.

What's strange about that?

Most players do get better, physically and mentally.

Grealish is, by a long way, the classiest player in this league and would grace the league above. If anything, Bruce has held back his development
