We won’t progress under Bruce and promotion is a pipe dream. Sick to the back teeth of him and his excuses/failings.
We need to look at the next 2/3 years ahead and start a long term sustainable build. Brendan Rogers, Dean Smith, Oscar Garcia, Nagelsmann (dream)
If we don’t win either of the next two away then him leaving will be firmly on the cards (imo) we need 10/12 from the next 15 available or he’s toast come October

I'd fire Bruce from a fucking cannon. No doubt sometime in the next 3/4 games we will put in a performance and it will all start again. Unbeaten run, everyone panicking, 6/7 games without a win, turn it round, rinse, repeat, that's the championship for yer.

He's not going anywhere unfortunately. Unless we're in no-mans land with no chance of going up he's secure and even i doubt Nan's hair ability to end up in that position given the amount of shite teams in this league

As someone said in the pub last night "when you look at the talented players around villa park nowadays it takes  special talent to make us look so fucking ordinary and vulnerable"

And that links back to what I said yesterday. Bruce clearly makes us less than the sum of our parts.

In the ST this morning it reports that Bruce was seen on the pitch before yesterday’s game in ‘an animated conversation ‘ with the clubs new owners.

Anybody know what that was about?

Sounds like something about nothing.

Probably asking the loon why he thinks Jedinak is a centre-half despite all evidence to the contrary

Time to go. Drawing matches with shit teams was what got Di Matteo sacked. There's no excuse for no clean sheets in five matches. He knew Terry was leaving in May and has failed to do anything about it.

And we are minus two on the swingometer 😡

Drawing too many matches was our downfall last season.  In the past 8 days, we've drawn 3, including 2 against the bottom 2 teams.

In Bruce's defence, a decent striker may make a difference as Kodjia doesn't look like being the answer.

Personally, I'd be happy to see him go before the international break.  Yes, he's got his players in but if there is a decent manager out there, then I'm sure that he will get a tune out of the squad.  On paper, it's the best in the division.

I see Sheffield Wednesday took all of two minutes to score against ten man Ipswich.

We’ve had a very easy start and we still haven’t dominated. He needs to go.

Hopefully it's just a waiting game until the new owners have a hierarchy in place who know the game, and the penny drops that Bruce does not appear capable of getting the best or any consistency out of a very talented squad.  I wish they'd get a move on though.

I don't think the new owners will do anything with Bruce until they have a strategy and longer term plan sorted out re a CEO and the type of manager they want to go with, maybe already starting to look at the options and gauge interest from different parties

I wouldn't give Bruce any more time but would give the new owners more time to gain a clearer idea of direction in which they want to take us

I feel 100% more confident now that Wyness has gone that we won't go for more of the same,
I have to say I never took to him at all and he worried me in the choices he made, Bruce was his choice and we have been treading water ever since,
i was shit scared if he replaced Bruce it would be for Pulis or Moyes types and so it would begin all over again

although there has never been one second that i have ever wanted Bruce as our manager I'm not calling for his head right now in the belief that the new owners will deliver in time the right people for the job

I've trusted owners in the past and it's not gone well I've had high hopes in managers before MON, Houlier, Lambert and Garde those hopes have not been realised for one reason or another

i am again believing in the new owners to get it right this time and if that means taking a broader more long term view that might take a while to put together then so be it

UTV Keep the faith

Not a fan of Bruce but there's no point in getting rid of him until we have people on the board with football knowledge. I'm sure many managers agents will have already 'introduced themselves to our new investors explaining why their clients are the best thing since sliced bread. We need people on the board that can see through that bullshit. I would happily take another season in the championship if it meant we could get the right people in place who had a plan for the future.

That's us done for then as Blackburn also beat the mighty Brentfolona. Best give up
