Who is that edits the press conference videos?  You usually get about 30 seconds of Bruce looking bored and rubbing his nose before they start, this time it started halfway through him speaking, and then cut off a question about Robert Snodgrass before Bruce finished speaking.

Nice putdown to Nursey, who in my opinion, is a gargantuan twat.

I think they focus on showing the questions put to him by the Pravda fella - safe, positive, leading ones in the main. When the floor is opened to the general press (for arguably more pressing questions such as what happened with Joe Bryan) avtv seems to shut-off.

I'm just trying to get my head around all of the pre-season work.  Was there any point in playing 352 if we're not going to use it?

I'm a firm believer that you don't change a winning team.  I accept that a couple of places were right to be changed from Monday (GK, CB and possibly McGinn straight in).  Bringing in Barny, Tuzanebe and Green as well was uncalled for.  That's a new keeper and 3 changes in the back 4 from the previous game.  Also, the DM was different, making 5 changes out of 6 in the back 6.  No wonder it was a comedy of errors.

I get Jedinak in a way but if Bruce has the confidence in Tunzebe that he claims, then he should have played CB.

There's a lot of work to be done on that training ground this week and I'm hoping and praying that Bruce doesn't see Tuzanebe as RB this season.

Bruce talked and praised the Wigan full backs and also how they gave us a game.

Importantly for him he got the 3 points and we have a simpler run of fixtures .

I can only presume he played Jedinak because of the height of the Wigan team. Understandable if that was the case but still wrong when he had a centre half sitting on the bench.

I get why Green came in as he looked sharp against Hull and Albert has been out of sorts for a while, but he fetish for playing Jedi at CB is bizarre as he obviously struggles there and he must think a lot of Tuzanebe to bring him back, but not to play him in his best position is another bizarre decision. He sometimes makes things harder for himself does SB.

Yes that's what I think.  He's gone for height across the back 4.  Jedinak's heading is second to none and I do get it.  I don't have a problem with swapping Elphick for Jedinak (I'd have started Tunazebe there).  I just thought that 6 changes was too much overall.

Difficult to blame Bruce for Jedinak's nightmare, would look at him however if he contined to trial this out any longer than the one game.

The ongoing trouble with Bruce is that he just doesn’t have a defined style of play or underlying ethos.  Everything appears to be haphazard, with tactics and team selections all over the shop.  He played 5-3-2 in a lot of the pre-season games, in the same way he had a brief mess about with it in his first season, but then ditched it as soon as the season started. It’s been a good start to the season results-wise, but we haven’t played that well to be honest.

eh? If someone is blatantly rubbish as a make-shift centre half because you've tried him there before, then selecting him to play there again carries some level of blame surely?

It's a style that has got him 4 promotions, many seasons in the premier league and about 20m + as a manager.

Why would any manager in his mid 50s change their style when it's been pretty successful for them.

It's like people thinking Warnock or Pulis would change their style of play if they had 100m to spend. They wouldn't, too long in the tooth and they'd just spend 20m on players who fit their style rather than 10m.

Warnock and Pulis have a style of play though, that's the point.  Bruce just seems to make do and mend.  I'm bored of hearing about his other promotions to be honest, because unless he does it with us, who gives a flying one?

I do. Otherwise we could end up with a manager like Lampard who would be under the Josh for his lack of experience.

Just checking we have actually won our 1st two games and scoring 6 goals in the process. The amount of moaning on here by the usual suspects is unbelievable. Enjoy your weekend FFS!!
