I don't know how you can write off any player at 23. Especially considering who we had regularly playing last season.

You seemed quick enough to have a pop at our new keeper after watching a 4 minute You Tube video.

well it was light-hearted comment on his howler. If i'd trashed the guy you'd have a point.

One plus about ditching Bruce, whatever you think of his football, is that everyone would start with a clean state meaning no Bomb Squad II building-up (Tshibola, Richards and Mccormack). We must be spending over £100k a week on these non-contributors.

I wouldn't include Richards in that. He's hardly played since Sherwood buggered off. As for the other two, manager's come in and don't fancy players for whatever reason. He's obviously not convinced by Steer or Bunn, hence the reason why he's brought in another keeper.

Why don't you include Richards in that?
I would love someone to actually ask Bruce the question about the situation with Richards.
Why can't we get the insurance for him if he is crocked, if he is unfit then why, if Bruce doesn't fancy him then I suppose he goes into the Bomb Squad MK2 and we just continue paying him his £40,000 a week! Sorry, but the whole situation makes no sense to me!

I still stand by my guess. Richards has a problem with his knees. He had it at the medical. We signed him anyway because he could still play with it at the time. It got worse. We can't pay him off as the insurance won't cover it because, well, it showed up at the medical. The whole news blackout about it is about the club not wanting to admit they were so stupid.

I don't think Di Matteo played him that much either.

According to Wikipedia, he played in Bruce's first game and has been injured ever since.

But it is not the only occurrence and to give someone with dodgy knees a 4 year contract on £40,000, you don't need hindsight to realise that is stupidity!

well yeah but paying someone who's shit 40,000 a week was a regular occurance for us. In the grand scheme of things, at least richards was a gamble that could have paid off. Explain Heskey..........

Even if Henry truthfully wasn’t in the picture I just wanted new ideas this season. Watching the Dresden game it’s just slow, error filled, defend deep, same old conservative gash.

With two great goals.

To be honest that doesn’t change a thing. I’d like to see passing and movement where we don’t need to score our equalizer from 25 yards out. Tap ins will do fine. A couple of screamers is nice but given how rare they are we need to do the basic stuff much, much better.
