Pleased for Steve Bruce and for continuity for the club, he will be watched by the new regime as to the performances and wins.
Wes Edens who has been in charge at Milwaukee basketball team has
Improved them using a lot of youth so Bruce may have been given that directive. Edens has sacked coaches in the past so let's see, at least keeping Bruce in situ for now gives new investors a chance to get their feet under the table and a feel for the club whilst sorting out finance
and FFP.

Not excited but he is a known quantity. Let's get the financial situation sorted before we start adding further intangibles and risk factors.

Other clubs fans felt Henry would have been a huge gamble a la Stevie MBE at Zombie FC. ATM more concerned with keeping Grealish and/or Chester than getting a new manager.

Given the alternative, I'm glad he's staying.

Get us promoted, please.

Was there really an alternative?!? Henry is all papertalk and we have days until then start of the season. We’ve just got new owners who are new to English football and the speed at which they took over probably didn’t have a CEO lines up let alone a manager.  In their shoes It’s a complete no brainer

Apparently it has all changed again after a meet with the new owners. I will keep my trap shut from now on. They are making me look bad!

Bastard!! I stuck my life savings on Henry becoming manager based on your ITK. You now owe me £11.57!!!!!

In my opinion a mistake. A chance to start fresh not taken. That said they’ve taken a more pragmatic approach and had this meeting happened in May/June I’m convinced he’d be gone. Anyway fuck it. We have to get behind him now and the team. He’s no doubt on a very short leash. You better get it right Steve you jammy, jammy bastard.

Now get on with some business. He couldn't get us up with the team last season, he needs 2/3 to have a chance this season because with what he has he isn't good enough to do it.

Gah. Another season of watching Fistface’s shit football and listening to his bollocks excuses. That’s two more seasons in this shit division to come then, minimum.

Oh well, fools and their money are soon parted.

Agreed, the wrong time to risk a novice. The new owners have given themselves time to assess things, which is sensible. I said the other day that a move for Henry made them appear star struck so glad it didn’t happen.

With owners plural it could be that one was quite set on Henry and the other not so much.

Or that Daily Star hack might just have smoked every weed in the Blue Peter garden.
