Shame. Ideal opportunity to get shot of him.

agreed. He'll be on a very short rope I imagine if he does survive this.

Given the choice of Bruce versus Henry I’d choose Bruce. Especially at this stage. I’m no Bruce fanboy but if we are keeping our best players? Which I know is a big if. Then I would back Bruce to add some good loan players and get us over the line this season. However, if we are selling our best players and looking to go through transition then yes get rid if patience is something the new owners have.

If they did replace Bruce I don't think Henry was the way to go. I'm also relieved that they are not hiring a manager on such a flimsy line of reasoning.

As for Bruce he'll either fail to take us up this season and be fired at some point during it or he'll take us up and leave us at some point during the first season in the premier.

They need to get on with sorting out the squad now.

We need root and branch change at the club, not compromise.  Not least worst of any options.  FWIIW I don't think Henry is the answer but Steve Bruce is not either.  This is make or break time.  We must get the BEST available manager even if it means enduring Bruceball in the Immediate future.

Probably best as the team aren’t going to Walsall.

He could be making his own way there.

Unless they have someone else lined ready to go which looks like they do not sticking is probably better than twisting right now with a shorter transfer window as well.  Any Bruce signings I’d imagine have to fit into a certain criteria moving us away from the big money/big wages no sell on potential type.

Let’s see how we are after 12-16 games, either;

A Top 6 with a good chance of the top 2. I’d suggest Bruce is given the season to try and gain promotion
B Mid table far enough away from either the top or the bottom.
C Bottom half with turgid and unimaginative football.

Both B and C for me would see him let go then.
