You get my point Walsall Villain.  Gabby is an absurd, ridiculous notion but we are presently in a warp of suspended reality at Villa Park.  Nothing would surprise me.  Truly.  Doug buying the club.  John Terry player manager.  Anything is possible.

I got you, Brian. At the moment it really does feel as if there is nothing so outlandish that it couldn't happen to Villa.

Yep, as someone who has wanted rid of Bruce for a while, I now think we’ll be lucky to hold onto him. It’s crazy times we’re in.
I’ve continually wanted him out but now I’m confused. I don’t trust the club to make a sensible decision so I’m now thinking we should stick not twist.

keep on repeating the same mistakes you will always  get the same failing

What, like changing the manager over and over again?

Yes, I agree but, but my point is that I think the kind of manager we could attract now would Paul Lambert.

None of it is ideal Taylor.  We have asked complete dicks to select Manager's in the past.  The selection criteria, post MON, seems to have been been to save money, then with Xia, it's to bring in people who seem to have had success in the past. The old boys network needs to go for starters and perhaps they need to ask the likes of Ian Taylor and Brian Little to get involved with the interviews, with our new criteria of building a side and integrating the younger players, picking up the odd loan and Bosman.  We also seem to go for the big ego types because managing Villa is tough.

I agree with you, when we need a new manager let's involve Little and Taylor. However at the moment we have a bloke in charge, and I don't think a change is what we need right now.

Because, as Bruce himself says, we're Aston Villa. Someone else said, Villa are the Manchester United of the Championship. It's what become expected. It was part of the gamble. Pay the best and get the best players and the best Manager.

Worrying thing is the last time Bruce was in charge of ailing big club with a chaotic boardroom. Sacked and replaced by MON!

No coincidence at all that both Bruce and and MON ex clubs have all ended up relagated ...

3rd? I doubt very much if most of the managers in the championship are earning a million pounds a year.

Has anyone said that we need a young and hungry manager yet? If not I’m saying it and claim my prize.

If Bruce were to go, it would almost certainly mean Clemence, Calderwood and Agnew following.

That compensation package could probably be as much as £5 million.

It's difficult to envisage that happen in the current state of affairs.

I have said it before, we cannot afford not to change the manager if we want to progress.

There is no need to change all of the support coaches. If they want to go, fair enough.

A new manager would probably want to bring in his own backroom staff anyway.
