IF we are struggling to pay 5m or whatever it is, i don't think there's a chance he'll still be here come August. think he's only here still because we can't pay him off actually.

If only Fistface had asked the team to break sweat in the first half at Wembley, we possibly wouldn't be going through all this.  Useless oaf.

Martin, that is pretty much word for word what my son said yesterday.  Hold in your head the shit storm that has engulfed us and watch again the lackadaisical, lard arsed, could not give a toss first 45 of Wembley.  The image of the orchestra on the Titanic playing Nearer My God To Thee springs to mind.

Against Fulham. Bloody Fulham. Not Barca, Real or Brazil. Fulham. Jesus wept.

Given the fall out since, totally agree - its makes my piss boil looking back at the first half. Bruce wont stay around during this crisis

Thank you Richard.  I took some H and V stick, no complaints, for reminding posters that many of us bond with the Villa that did not shit its pants at the prospect of playing Fulham.

I think the future of Bruce, either way, is the very least of our worries at the moment.

Nor should he stay. His failure is a massive contributory factor to this debacle.

I never wanted Bruce. Wrong man for the job. He was branded 'yesterday's man' during his time at Sunderland. How do you not manage to get Villa promoted with the advantages we have had?

Occam's Razor one more time.  Waste money - Agbonlahor, N'Zogbia, Richards, McCormack, Hogan, Fox, Lescott, et al - and you will end up in financial trouble.

For the most all over the hill hacks, we have been the retirement village for on their way out footballers for years now. It has been that bad it even makes Deadly's tenure look half decent. Absolute balls up for the last ten years, I don't know where we go from here.

Despite what is going on behind the scenes financially at our great club, it should not be forgotten that Bruce set us up NOT to win in that first half Vs Fulham. If ever we needed to approach a game on the front foot that was it, to give ourselves half a chance. Instead his negativity left us playing catch-up which we were doing all season without ever looking like we would bridge any gaps.

I wonder if Wyness and Xia told him "win or we are f*cked" before the game. I doubt Bruce knew anything of what has happened. To be honest even if we had won would we suddenly have £4m to pay HMRC?

Arranging a loan to finance the cash flow would have been much easier.
