I also find it strange Leeds are reported to have spoken with him without a word from Villa Park about tapping up our manager.

and you don't just think that its utter bullshit the club haven't even given a second thought to ?

So when we played well it was because the players flouted the game plan but when we were poor it was because Bruce set the team up wrong?
We didn’t play well to achieve our objective so that’s his fault.

It would be a shit trick to fire him while he's away.

I agree. He should have been sacked before he went on holiday.

No I don’t think he’s going either.
I think we’d have heard something by now.

There's always the possibility the club have said go on holiday, relax, take your mind off football without having the press call you every 5 minutes for a quote, we'll deal with it on your return. He deserves a proper rest. I also find it strange Leeds are reported to have spoken with him without a word from Villa Park about tapping up our manager.

Which do you find more strange? Our manager having a well deserved holiday or our club not mentioning that he's been having talks with another club whilst he's been on holiday?

Can’t have a view until the second option is shown to be fact not gossip.

I can’t have a view until the Leeds stuff is proved to be fact not media speculation. I messed up previous post, I blame iPhone and crap eyesight.

Looks like Bielsa is getting the Leeds job.

After the last few years, one thing that does sway me to give Bruce another season is the idea of actual stability. If Round is a good Technical Director or whatever he is, he needs to be managing Bruce to start bringing players through etc. I also think we may set up in a more attacking style without Terry. Grinding out results will be much harder for us without his organisation, so Bruce may well have to adapt.

Last week after the game I was firmly in the out camp, but with all the financial crap we are in, having an experienced head keep us at least competitive seems quite a sensible, if uninspiring thought at the moment.

His son's been on twitter -
@AlexBruce84
Negative Style.....72 goals scored 3rd highest in the division..... not that bad for a defensively minded hoof ball team.... £2.5million spent last season, £18million brought in......
3rd bottom when he took over and led the team to a play-off final in 18months. Failure 😂

Yeh, this isn’t going to end well. When son starts defending dad in a season irrespective of any kind of stats failed to meet the only goal he had, it’s a quick slippery slope to the inevitable end.

Appointed for one reason and one reason only, to get us back into the top flight. Failure. Twice.

1)What was the spend in the previous Jan
2) In Millions can you provide a figure for the wages of Terry and the Prem league loans
3) Objective was promotion getting to the final and losing is still failure

Sounds like "Team Bruce" are trying to set the narrative for his inevitable departure to me. "Poor Bruce, not a pot to piss in, didn't back him when it mattered etc...."
