As a person, I like Bruce. He comes across as a likeable man, he doesn’t hide or deflect when things don’t go his way and I really  wanted him to take us up the season just gone.

Next season is a whole different prospect though. He tried his best, but ultimately, he failed. We’ll have no money to spend and I think a new manager is required. A manager that can bring through the younger players and inject some fresh ideas and make the most of what will be limited means.

Thanks for trying Steve, you had a very good crack this season, but ultimately failed, if we are all being honest.

Step aside for someone with fresh ideas and approach.

I'm surprised it's even a question, to be honest. His remit is promotion and he didn't do it with one of the strongest squads this division has ever seen. Most clubs have already given their failures the boot.

It was a reference to a nightclub in Leeds.

Leeds are being linked with some interesting managers as well as Steve Bruce, Matias Almeyda being the latest. I'd never heard of him either but a quick search and he's got a very decent CV. Kudos to them for looking beyond Junction 37 on the M1.

Leeds have a lot of experience when it comes to managerial appointments. The next one will be lucky to make it to the first match of next season.

It terms of his likeability I still recall him getting his knickers in a twist about fans criticising him at the beginning of the season , that it was unjustified and when we did start winning he made a comment like ''that will shut a few people up''' Well if your gona talk like that you need to deliver and he didn't ..

There was the 'mass hysteria' comment as well, it turns out it wasn't mass hysteria and a lot of the concerns actually turned out to be correct.

Also I'm not sure about the 'not hiding' thing either. There's only so many times the manager can come out with "I don't know what went wrong today" without it looking a little bit like he's blaming the players. I have a problem with the number of times he didn't know stuff that it is literally his job to deal with.

Back in his first season he got a lot of credit for seeing the same problems as us but 80 odd games later he still hasn't addressed them properly, aside from anything else that's what I was worried about and that's why we're still a championship club.

I'd forgotten about all that stuff. As I guess you would if the team is doing well. I'm not going to particularly beat him for it now but it did make him sound silly even at the time. Lest we forget, this thread only had a name change for a matter of weeks before reverting.

apparently he's one of four potentials for Leeds. Has been interviewed, so fingers crossed.
