Bruce out! He failed to make playoffs last ssn when achievable. He failed re auto promotion this Ssn and he's failed in the playoffs today. That's 3 failures. His percentages game was found out today, esp 1st half. Everybody knows, get the 1st goal vs Villa under Bruce and we won't get back in the game. Bruce bullishly called out Villa fans earlier in the Ssn for their "hysteria" and "crisis" talk. Maybe, just maybe Villa fans could see his failures coming esp after such a poor start. I feel sorry for the man having lost both his parents, but it's time for him to move on. Any stability under him is up in the air now cause of a 3rd Ssn in the championship.

I've always wanted Howe. I want a guy who see's us as a long term project like SGT did when he came to us from watford. Someone like him is never going to get a top6 premiership job but he can build a top 6 side from our base. Dean smith?, mebbe. Someone has to take a chance on these guys or otherwise you continually selecting from the same small genepool of bog average managers who become available like Bruce

Sad reality is he wouldn't give us a second thought until we get back in the premier league.

Same for Sean Dyche.

Imagine thinking three years ago we would struggle to attract the Burnley or Bournemouth manager.

I don't know. I know things have changed a bit since the days of SGT, but he's been at Bournemouth for 10 years. He is never going to get the finances or squad to win anything there, and will probably continue in that vein, keeping bournemouth in the prem punching above their weight. He may be perfectly happy with that, but we can ask surely?

He'll just wait for somewhere like Newcastle, Everton or West Ham jobs to come up.

Clubs already in the premier league who with spending could push for top 6.

We need to target good managers in this league or hope a good one from premier league gets sacked and wants to drop down a level like Fulham did with Jokanovic leaving Watford after getting them promoted.

Got a funny feeling if we sacked SB we'd be straight on the phone to Big Sam in any case.

hah, don't think fat sam would touch us with a barge pole. Probably would have took us when we had the parachute payments, but now?

We desperately need a change. We will not get promoted playing like this.

Hadn’t thought of Fat Sam. I’ve never liked him, but think he got a rough deal at Everton. Fuck me, is this how far we’ve sunk. Fat Sam is probably a good shout, but it’s with a heavy heart I think that’s the best we could do.

Round and Wyness talk and talk about the concept of the Villa engine. That’s obvious not an overnight fix but if they are serious then you need a coach not a manager.

What attracts me about that approach is it protects you from the MON type catastrophe where he leaves and the whole club is literally in a tail spin.

Green, O’Hare and Davis were around the 1st team earlier in the season and have been nowhere since January. That excludes Hepburn Murphy as well who this club made a massive song and dance about not playing until he committed to the club.

I look at our signings; Hourihane was scoring left right and centre at Barnsley and looks like a jobbing midfielder.  Hogan scored for fun at Brentford.

What was most disappointing about today was the plan was to not concede and hope that Snoddy or Grealish just did something.

I just don’t see what Bruce is bringing to the team every week.

Bruce has shown he doesn’t learn. He always plays not to lose, and can never change it if we go behind.

just can't see fat sam touching us. He's the goto man to keep you in the premiership and very lucrative it is as well. Moyes' reputation on the other hand is probably tarnished enough to still fancy us *runs off*

I think a manager with fresh ideas is what we need. The ‘tried and tested’ hasn’t worked.

I'd rather have a Mars Bar manage us.

He took over West Ham when they'd just been relegated in 2011.

Maybe he'd like us another promotion before he retires again.

Or we could just wait for Warnock to get sacked in September.....
