Fucking hell sickbeggar - I hope you wake up today in a better mood.

Last night won't make a difference to whether we go up automatically but it was FUN which at the end of the day is the only point in watching football.

If you can't enjoy a victory because you're still sulking about the fact we lost to QPR a month ago I think you're better off finding another hobby.
Hobby?!

Have to agree with this entirely.

If we’re going to judge whether we go and watch the Villa on what happened in previous games then we all might as well stay away.
I also apologize in blowing my money by renewing next season. That will be season ticket year number 27 in succession. I must be fucking stupid right?

I was among the 30,000 who allowed myself to enjoy our win despite my team having the damn cheek to not win a few games recently and I along with everyone else who wants to will go on Friday.

UTV.

I wouldn’t necessarily agree with him, but I also wouldn’t say a fan being annoyed about a bad result has to be hit with the better supporter than yow stick.

He's every right to be frustrated that we screwed the pooch multiple times prior to beating Cardiff. Getting one over on Wolves was also nice in isolation, but the subsequent results made it almost meaningless.

Last night was slightly more significant because we don't want to face Fulham in play-offs, and we did them a big favour. It also cemented our own play-off spot, which is obviously important. Does that mean I'm not massively frustrated at our failure to turn up against 'lesser' opposition? No, that'll not change any time soon.

I wouldn’t hit anyone with anything but if we’re going to let the team screwing up affect whether we enjoy winning then there’s really no point in supporting anyone is there?

Hey I’m daft enough to pay upfront every year with no idea how it’s going to go but I’ll accept that by the end of the season that we won’t have played 46 and won 46.

No, of course we won't.

But it's also not much use for us to beat the top 3 at Villa Park if we can't manage to beat the likes of Brentford home or away. We'd feel better about it collectively, maybe, if we could honestly say we've performed to the best of our abilities in 46 out of 46 games, but that's not always been the case has it?

I obviously hold out hope that we'll go up via the play-offs, but if we do so I'll be thanking lady luck, because we've made it unnecessarily hard for ourselves time and again this season.

How? By us being better than the opposition, or by our players doing what they're supposed to?

big wow. win when it doesn't matter. who cares?

The 30,000 who were there tonight probably did.

more fool them. adds insult to injury imo. We don't just play wolves and cardiff to go up

I enjoyed it. More fool me. You almost sound gutted we won.

Bruce haters hate it when we win as they are only happy when they are hating on Bruce.  More fool the idiots who call themselves Villa fans who are miserable when we win.

As far as I'm concerned I'll enjoy a Villa victory regardless of who it's against as winning is what Football and sport in general is about. If you don't enjoy victories then you have got to ask yourself whether sport is for you because what is the point in bothering if you don't enjoy it when we win.

I have raised a glass to the mighty Villa and, whilst recognising that some fans take refuge in a sort of nihilistic realism for emotional support in a time of imminent divisional flux

Can we suggest this as a possible tweet for Dr X?

Even Bruce's BBC comments are taken from a WM interview.
